Bilingual Family Law Attorney

Dade Legal Aid assists qualifying low-income residents in a variety of family law matters such as: divorce, paternity, custody, adoption, name change, guardian ad litem, support, visitation and domestic violence for persons meeting federal poverty guidelines. Staff Attorney will interview and represent clients at hearings in Miami Dade County Family, Domestic Violence, Unified Family and Children's Court Proceedings, will attend mediations and depositions, meetings and conferences in person and remotely. T

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Florida and be a member of the Bar in good standing
  • Must be Bilingual (Spanish) written and spoken
  • Must have excellent writing, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Family Law
  • Must have litigation experience
  • Passionate about serving others
  • Resident of Miami-Dade

Legal Secretary

Dade Legal Aid (Legal Aid) located in Miami, FL, provides free civil legal services to qualifying low-income residents in needs of civil legal assistance in the areas of family law, domestic violence, guardianship, guardian ad litem, housing, bankruptcy, and consumer law. Legal Aid prioritizes the protection of children, foster youth, victims of dimestic violence and human sex trafficking, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and other vulnerable populations, making a significant impact on the community.

Role Description

This is a full-time legal secretary position for an experienced secretary to provide administrative assistance, handling phone calls with proper etiquette, communicating effectively with clients and staff, preparing forms and documents and utilizing clerical skills. This role is based in Miami, FL, with flexibility for some remote work.
